Hi, I'm Aidan, the founder of Cairn Atlas. Like many students, I saved for years for a once-in-a-lifetime study abroad trip. Mine was to Florida, and it was everything I'd hoped for: a whirlwind of new places, late-night adventures, and friendships I knew would last a lifetime. I came home with thousands of photos, a pocketful of ticket stubs, and a heart full of stories.

But then, life got in the way.

Those incredible moments quickly became just another folder on my laptop, and the photos were buried in the endless scroll of my camera roll. I realised I had the pictures, but I was starting to lose the feeling. I hated the thought of my most important memories gathering digital dust, and I knew there had to be a better way to hold onto them.

From a Problem to a Product

I started searching for the perfect journal—not just a notebook, but a real, high-quality home for my story. It needed to be beautiful enough to feel special, durable enough to last forever, and simple enough that it wasn't intimidating to start. I couldn't find exactly what I was looking for, so I decided to create it myself.
