Cairn Atlas began with one traveller.

I’m Aidan, and what I value most is exploring somewhere I’ve never been.

Every trip away from home is a chance at something new. New experiences, new perspectives, new people, and ultimately new memories.

My exchange year in South Florida proved to be the most life-changing year of my life for these exact reasons. However, it also left my camera roll with 100,000 photos, and not one of them reflects what that year actually felt like.

It’s like when you witness an awesome view, take a picture, and the view looks underwhelming. Now, your memory of that view is confined to what’s on your phone screen.

Rather, what if you could turn those memories into tangible artwork? Whether it be a sketch of the mountain range in front of you, or a collage of tram tickets and postcards from a bustling European city you visited — your memory can remain as tangible as it was in the moment it happened.
